Delhi Development Authority (DDA) launched its housing scheme in August 6, 2008.
The land agency is planning to start allotment of flats to its successful applicants from November. The allotments for the 5238 flats, across the city, came almost 10 months after the draw of names. The agency had to stop the allotment after the economic offence wing (EOW) of Delhi Police arrested 9 people in a case of forgery and cheating related to the housing scheme. The DDA on Thursday said EOW has given it a clean chit since investigation by EOW into the involvement of DDA officials in the case or tampering the software used for the electronic draw has thrown blank.
A senior Urban Development Ministry official said, “If the scheme is cleared by Delhi Police, DDA don’t need ministerial approval for allotment”. Now successful applicants can see their dream houses.
