On Sunday, The Tibetan Buddhist spiritual and temporal leader the Dalai Lama arrived Tawang (a district in the state of Arunachal Pradesh, India) to a tumultuous reception from hundreds of monks and followers.
The 75 year-old leader said after a prayer at a famed Tawang monastery (build in 1681), where he had stayed during his sensational flight from Tibet 50 years ago, “wherever I go, I have two objectives: To promote human values and promote harmony.
Beijing has criticized him and spoken out against New Delhi claiming Tawang and Arunachal Pradesh as its own territory. In defense of his host country the Dalai Lama said “My Stand that Tawang is an integral part of India has not changed”.
