Film director Danny Boyle has chosen his follow up project to his Oscars hit Slumdog Millionaire.

The Film director is set to direct a film about Aron Ralston, an American mountaineer who made headlines the world over when he used a knife to sever his own lower arm in order to be freed after it became trapped under a boulder during a 2003 hike in the remote Utah canyon. He was discovered by a family who alerted authorities. No cast has yet been chosen for the project, Variety said on Thursday.

The movie and production is set to begin next year.
