Floyd Landis, American cyclist said it is doubtful that he will be competing again in the Tour de France. He told the Herald on Sunday that politics in cycling would probably avert him from contesting the world’s leading cycling road race. Landis is in New Zealand to ride the six day, nine-stage Tour of Southland.
“I don’t think it’s a possibility next year, or ever, for that matter”, Landis said of the Tour de France.
Landis, 34, won the 2006 Tour de France. He was disqualified for 2 year, after doping tests revealed abnormal elevated testosterone levels. He returned at the Tour of California in February.
