Eight countries will compete for top honours at the Volvo India International Regatta. Some deep sea dramas are expected, with the northeast monsoon setting in. Volvo India International Regatta commences today.

Harris and Mahesh both American passport holders will be representing United States of America.

A joint released issued by the Tamil Nadu Sailing Association (TNSA) and Yachting Association of India (YAI) said that with sailors of different ages participating in the Regatta, the race officials are geared up to conduct an incident-free event.
