According to Daily Mail reports Key Morgan, an American collector of historical photos, manuscripts, autographs and documents has brought a newly surfaced home video which was retrieved from an attic around 50 years after it was shot for USD 275,000 from an anonymous person.
The silent, colour film shows a relaxed Hollywood legend Marilyn Monroe smoking marijuana cigarette. The film was taken at a private home in New Jersey. The actress looks happy and relaxed in what seems to be a small gathering of friends.
Morgan said “This is the late 50s so she is already very famous, but this is a personal side of her, we’ve never seen before. People have never seen her in such a relaxed pose”.
The person who made the film confirmed that the cigarette contained marijuana, saying “I got it. It was mine. I was just passing around. It was not a party. It was just a get-together. You know, come over and hang out”.
Morgan is now planning to copyright the image. He is also working on a documentary on the death of Marilyn Monroe.
Monroe died at her home in Los Angeles on 5thAugust, 1962.
