Sitar, the musical instrument has left Norah Jones’ father Ravi Shankar and half-sister Anoushka Shankar with twisted backs so the multiple Grammy Award winner has no plans of mastering the instrument.

According to Contactmusic.com reports the singer revealed that she once took sitar lessons from her half-sister but later realized it wasn’t her cup of tea.

She said ‘It was fun but you have to twist your back all around. My dad and Anoushka both have twisted backs from playing so much.’

‘And you have to sit cross-legged. See, that ain’t cool! I can’t imagine doing a world tour cross-legged.’
